Shakira announces her first album in seven years, “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” (Women Don’t Cry Anymore)

The recording features four different album covers featuring her figure, styled by Nicolas Bru. Shakira (last name Ripoli) had her long blonde locks and face painted on the cover by Beatriz Matallana, writes DailyMail.

“My 12th album is the one I’ve created with all of you, my pack of wolves who were there for me every step of the way,” wrote the three-time Grammy winner, boasting 352.2 million followers on social media.

“The making of this body of work has been an alchemical process. As I wrote each song, I was rebuilding myself. As I sang them, my tears turned into diamonds and my weakness into strength.”

The album with 16 songs in Shakira’s Spanish language contains eight new songs, a remix, and seven previously released tracks: Acróstico, Out of Your League, Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53, TQG, Te Felicito, Copa Vacía, and El Jefe. The Colombian singer currently amasses 59.2 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

Shakira has experienced considerable hardships in the past seven years, including the harsh split in 2022 from her 12-year partner, retired football center-back Gerard Pique.
