Ousmane Dembele left Barcelona in the summer of 2023 to return to Ligue 1 where he signed with Paris Saint-Germain.
The French winger recently gave an interview where he stated that PSG is as big a club as Barcelona. “Barcelona is a very big club, we know that,” the French forward began.
“But PSG is also a big club, I see it both on and off the field. When you go into the city, you’re recognized immediately.”
“Honestly, aside from the weather, there’s not much difference for me. The same goes for the stadium: Camp Nou is big and full of history. But at Parc des Princes, the atmosphere is extraordinary, in every match, the fans support us,” Dembele said.
Dembele’s comparison is understandable since he is currently under contract with the French champions; however, historically, there is a clear difference between the two clubs.
Barça is one of the most decorated clubs in Europe with 14 European titles, including five Champions League titles, in contrast to PSG, which has never won the most prestigious European club trophy.
