I HAVE MY ANGELS
My life isn’t easy
and I can barely make ends meet.
But my step is firm,
I don’t kneel before anyone,
and I don’t shy away from anyone either.
My parents instilled in me
that a clean cheek makes a man a man
and that it should be protected
as long as one breathes.
I am grateful to them for that
and I don’t give my pride to anyone.
I struggle through life alone,
and no matter how hard it is,
it’s my life.
I loved and was loved
and I can’t get over one love.
Only with him did I feel like a woman,
safe and loved.
What can I say,
he knocked me off my feet.
It was wonderful
and I thank him to heaven,
for giving me love
when I needed it the most.
I have grown children
who still share chocolate
like when they were little,
sister and brother breathe as one being.
What more could a mother wish for?
Thank you for my children, dear God!
And my sister is there
to give me a hand
when no one else can or won’t,
she is another one of my treasures
because there is no greater happiness
than a sister.
My life is more difficult
than other people’s eyes can see.
Still, I’m a happy woman, in the end,
I have my angels who watch over me
and gave me strength
and still give it to me.
