POEM BY MIRTA PEREZ (ARGENTINA)

UST LET ME BE AS I AM

With the way I am
don’t force me to change
I do not look for anyone to question
my way of thinking
I only seek to understand
and understand me too
that to talk about love,
you have to know how to live
and go through this life bearing
the pain of
a hopeless love.
Let me
if it bothers you,
my way of thinking
I don’t demand and ask for anything,
if your heart denies me
another one will come to rescue me
there is always someone
who is waiting for me, get your chance
Let me follow my journey
Our lives are
they crossed but it’s too late for me
I am a rebel
and I no longer want to be subjected to anyone who doesn’t know
understand that love is only given
without asking
nothing in return it’s already
a prize to have it without
evil in your heart.
Let me you don’t want to stop me
I get used to it
in this life to lose as well as to win
yes lose will only be because they didn’t love me much
and if he won I will win for my goodness, because bad to another
I don’t and today I know
I value
Let me
Of obligations, of touching my morale
when you come,
I’ve been a while since
I passed and I know your intention
Don’t turn around like a rock,
don’t even try to convince me
if you know what I said
that if you deceive me I deceive you
and if you forget me too.
Let me live my life, the way
I want it today
I am not
for the reproach, just let me live,
I already chose my
destiny, to walk these roads, being free,
like the wind, that if they want me,
I want and if they don’t want me.
I put my wing down and leave, totally nothing to lose nation
Alone and so alone from
this world and leaving.
Let me find another shelter,
you don’t want me to change
my patience is lost to believe in others, because nadies is better,
attitude is what worth and you are
far from that you don’t deserve my forgiveness.
Let me follow my route,
i’ll already find someone
that I do not want to change,
I was only a dream that waking up
fades away, a passing illusion
a nobody that was it.
