POEM BY KENNETH MASWABI

IN MY LITTLE CORNER

I do not occupy much space
Like a weightless molecule of nothingness
I bounce from one corner of life to another
Trying to conquer the hard surface of life is not my mission
I have left my footsteps on the sand dunes of time
Not even a single one of them is visible
Just grains of sand occupy the place where I stepped my feet
Curving a little niche in this universe is meaningless
It’s the vast territory of the cosmos that attract my passion
My life does not take much space or time
Most of the time I live in Silence
Not bothering any soul
I live inside the fabric of existence itself
Allowing my spirit to fuse with the sacred Light
It is a previledge I cannot refuse
I don’t know why I am always pulled into the blanket of Silence
But it looks like I am more at home inside the aloneness
It’s nothingness that dresses my heart, feeding my being with peace, happiness and Love
In my little corner, I don’t have many thoughts or cravings
Because everything is present on the taste bud of my being
You too are present
It’s the spiritual relationship with life that I cherish
Much deeper than the deepest ocean
It wraps around my being
Hypnotizing my body,
mind and soul
I am a Spirit Poet
Everything I write comes as a gift
To everyone with eyes to see
I cannot wait for the next poem to land on the palm of my being
Like a butterfly, it’s always surrounded by a veil of mystery
But when it arrives,
it’s full of clarity.
