Paris Saint-Germain is said to be optimistic about the chances of Kylian Mbappe signing a contract extension with the club, despite strong interest from Real Madrid.
The future of the French captain remains unclear, and he will be able to negotiate pre-contract agreements with other clubs starting January 1.
However, according to “L’Equipe,” PSG is not concerned about the situation.
Parisians believe that there is a significant chance that Mbappe will accept to extend his stay at the Parc des Princes.
The 25-year-old has an option to extend his contract with PSG, and the club believes that major negotiations will not be necessary due to this option. Instead, only a few minor details will need to be addressed to finalize an extension for the former Monaco forward in the French capital.
Mbappe is happy at the club, instilling confidence in president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and other officials of the French champions that he will renew his contract.
However, Real Madrid should not be ruled out, as it has long been seen as the most likely destination for the French representative.
As known, Mbappe will be a free agent in the summer as his contract expires on June 30.
