Xavi, whose career at Barcelona lasted two decades, has revealed that several clubs such as AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Bayern Munich approached him during his time at the Catalan club, but he rejected their offers out of loyalty to Barcelona.
The legendary midfielder also admitted that former Milan CEO Adriano Galliani held talks with him after he had won the FIFA U-20 World Cup with Spain in 1999.
“Milan. I was speaking with Galliani, who came to Barcelona. I had just won the U-20 World Cup in Nigeria. Then Bayern Munich and Inter Milan came,” Xavi initially stated.
“They criticized me, and there were difficult moments when I thought about leaving, but my heart has always been with Barcelona,” the Spanish legend concluded.
