Liverpool manager Arne Slot spoke with emotion following Tuesday night’s 1-0 Champions League win over Real Madrid.
After the final whistle, Slot was seen hugging Trent Alexander-Arnold and later explained the gesture toward the former Liverpool defender.

“Just a few moments later, I hugged him. I don’t know exactly what I said, maybe nothing in particular,” Slot said. “But every time I meet him, I will hug him or speak with him, because he has been very special to me, both as a player and as a person,” the manager added.
This gesture demonstrates the deep respect the Dutch coach holds for Alexander-Arnold, one of the most beloved figures among Liverpool fans.
