Trump threatens to wipe out Hamas

Donald Trump has warned Hamas that it will be destroyed if it does not abide by the terms of the ceasefire agreement with Israel.

The warning comes after Israel and Hamas accused each other of violating the terms of the deal in recent days.

The U.S. President made the remarks during a press conference at the White House, appearing alongside Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

“We have a small situation, relatively speaking, with Hamas, which will be resolved very soon if they don’t fix it themselves, because they’re violating the agreement,” Trump said.

He added that they would “wipe out” Hamas if the group does not “behave properly.”

When a reporter asked who would carry out such action, Trump said that U.S. troops would not be involved on the ground and suggested that other nations, including Israel, would take military action.

“They have to be good, and if they’re not good, they’ll be gone.”

However, Trump also struck an optimistic tone, adding: “We’ll give the ceasefire agreement a bit of a chance, and hopefully there will be a little less violence.”
