Barcelona continue to enjoy the wave of success following their triumph in the Spanish Super Cup over the weekend, where they defeated Real Madrid 3–2 in Saudi Arabia.
The Catalan side are on track for another positive season and, with confidence at high levels, have strong chances of winning trophies in La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Champions League.
The latter is the most desired trophy for Barcelona, considering that the last time they won the Champions League was 11 years ago.
They are considered among the favorites despite an unconvincing league phase so far, but not everyone is backing them.
According to Sport, former Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos dismissed Barcelona’s chances of winning the Champions League this season while speaking on his podcast, “Einfach mal Luppen.”
