Robinho may have escaped after a deal was reached between Brazil and Italy for him to serve nine years in prison for the rape charge.
Argentinian newspaper “Ole” writes that legal officials went to find Robinho to inform them of the agreement between Brazil’s Federal Public Ministry and Italian justice, they did not find him at any of the three addresses previously given by the player to the Police.
Robinho was convicted in Italy at the beginning of 2022 for the gang rape of an Albanian girl in Milan in 2013. The former player stayed in Brazil, where there is no extradition agreement with Italy, to avoid imprisonment.
However, the agreement between the authorities of the two countries to have Robinho serve his sentence in the South American country changed radically for the former player, who is trying to evade justice.
