Spanish football continues to be dominated by Barcelona and Real Madrid, while other teams rarely manage to be truly competitive against the two giants.
This difference was once again evident, as Barcelona delivered a spectacular performance in the Spanish Super Cup semifinal, defeating Athletic Bilbao with a convincing 5–0 scoreline.
The Catalan side settled the qualification issue already in the first half, scoring four goals. Ferran Torres, Fermín López, Bardghji, and Raphinha were the goalscorers, turning the match into a mere formality.
In the second half, Raphinha sealed the victory with the fifth goal, completing his “poker” and confirming Barcelona’s excellent form in this competition.
Barcelona now awaits the Super Cup final, aiming to add another trophy to its cabinet
