Poem by STEFANO BENNI:

He – Where are your dark eyes,
and your goddess-like profile?
I’m consumed by the thought
of how I might see you again.

She – My eyes are blue now,
I’m wearing contact lenses,
and I’ve redone my nose —
so recognize me, my love.

He – I no longer see your lips,
that tiny pink bud
I used to kiss with desire.
And your untouched breast,
once held within my hand,
now seems much larger —
at least four times its size.

She – Oh, this memory troubles me,
but I’m still the same woman.
My mouth is just a little fuller,
and my breasts more flowing.
Silicone changed my body,
but not my passion.
