After a long artistic career, the singer Olsa Pema presents an exciting recital concert: “MY WAY.” The concert will be held on Saturday, October 18, at 7:00 p.m. at the “Andon Z. Çajupi” Theater in Korça (Albania).
The following people collaborated on this recital: Concert master: Kledia Toshi / Artistic director: Ema Kanci / Screenplay: Irma Kurti / Director: Blerta Belliu
Olsa Pema will offer to the public classical music pieces from her repertoire in Albanian, as well as Neapolitan arias and songs. With a clear and melodious voice, rich in timbre and transparency, Olsa has come a long way to get here. With passion and perseverance, driven by her desire to find her artistic essence and merge with music, she has interpreted both the characteristic music of her city (serenades) and lyrical music, leading her audience with professionalism and naturalness into a world of emotions.
The performance of tenor Noel Prifti, a student at the Academy of Arts in Tirana, will enrich the concert. There will also be a performance by the young pianist Doris Xhinaku, winner of the Carola Grindea Prize and the grand prize at the 2025 International Piano Competition.
Olsa Pema’s connection to music is special and unique. Her numerous collaborations with singer-songwriter Nonda Kajno culminated in the release of the album “Në Pragun e Magjisë” (On the Threshold of Magic). Most of the lyrics for her songs were written by the poet and lyricist Irma Kurti. Olsa has also collaborated with other authors, such as Korça singer-songwriter Petrika Agolli, living in the United States, with whom she has carried out a series of projects, and also with the talented Italian composer Galliano Borsato, with whom she has produced contemporary and experimental music, as well as a video clip. Facing great challenges, Olsa has also participated in important Albanian pop music events, such as several editions of the “Festa e Këngës Shqiptare” (Albanian Song Feast), conceived and directed by maestro Gjergj Leka.
Olsa Pema has just returned from a study experience at American universities in the field of culture, funded by the State Department. With a brilliant academic career, during which she has produced numerous publications, scientific articles, and university texts, she has also been awarded the title of “Doctor of Research in Linguistics.”
Olsa’s recital, entitled MY WAY, reveals her original way of interpreting, her desire to move forward, to get to know herself through music, to interpret with the voice of her soul, with feeling and emotion. Olsa’s journey is unique, capable of touching the deepest chords of the human soul and evoking a sense of peace and hope.
