Many sources have claimed that German coach Jürgen Klopp is not at all interested in taking charge of Real Madrid, but now contradictory information has emerged.
According to the English football outlet The Touchline, followed by more than 1.5 million people on the X platform, Klopp and Real Madrid are in negotiations. Klopp is said to have set a clear condition for his move: he wants to have full authority over every sector of the first team, including transfer policy.
So far, no coach at Real Madrid has had such authority, and the same source claims that, in this case, the alarm bells rang for Dani Carvajal and Ferland Mendy, whom Klopp reportedly does not want at all.
The speculation comes as a major surprise, as Klopp—who is currently employed by Red Bull as the head of all football operations—has repeatedly stated that he is not interested in taking charge of Real Madrid.
The German recently sent a message to the club’s management regarding sporting planning and at that time denied any interest in becoming Real Madrid’s head coach.
