Kane Sets a Rare Record

The record-breaking streaks continue in this week’s Champions League fixtures, where the biggest clubs and their star players have taken the stage to showcase their immense potential.

Among them, Harry Kane has set an astonishing record — one that neither Cristiano Ronaldo nor Lionel Messi has ever achieved.

The English striker is enjoying an exceptionally productive season with Bayern Munich.

Before Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Club Brugge, Kane had already scored 19 goals in 11 matches across all competitions.

It took him just 14 minutes to net his 20th goal of the season, pushing the ball into the net from close range to double Bayern’s lead.

Reaching 20 goals in only 12 matches marks the fastest ratio of games to goals ever recorded.

According to Opta, this means Kane has reached the 20-goal milestone faster than both Ronaldo and Messi

at any point in their careers.

Messi’s fastest run to 20 goals came in 17 matches, a feat he achieved on three separate occasions. Ronaldo, meanwhile, needed 13 games during the 2014/2015 season to reach the same tally.

Kane — who has now scored in eight consecutive games for the first time in his career — has reached 20 goals in just 12 matches, underlining his status as one of Europe’s most lethal strikers.

He is also the first player across Europe’s top ten leagues to reach this number so far this season, reports TCH.

For comparison, Manchester City’s goal machine Erling Haaland, who is also in excellent form, has scored 15 goals this season to date.
