Al-Hilal’s Portuguese defender João Cancelo will move to Barcelona in the January transfer window.
Cancelo will join on loan, with the Saudi club having given the green light, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Barcelona will cover his salary up to four million euros, while the remaining part will be paid by Al-Hilal.
João Cancelo wanted only Barcelona, as Inter were also interested in him but failed to convince the defender, despite having an agreement with the Saudi club.
Cancelo returns to Barcelona after having spent the entire 2023/24 season on loan from Manchester City.
