Manager Pep Guardiola has praised Erling Haaland’s incredible form, describing it as “extraordinary in every aspect,” not just in terms of goal-scoring.
Ahead of Manchester City’s Premier League match against Everton, Guardiola spoke about the Norwegian’s impressive run, having scored nine goals in his last seven games — including two in the Manchester derby, one against Arsenal, and a total of six across four matches against Napoli, Burnley, Monaco, and Brentford.
“He’s feeling really good, and his performance isn’t just about the goals — in many aspects, he’s simply exceptional,” said Guardiola.
Haaland’s red-hot form coincides with Norway’s success in the World Cup qualifiers, which, according to Guardiola, has further motivated the striker.
“They’re now just one match away from qualifying for the World Cup in the U.S. — that’s something huge for him and for his country,” added the Spanish coach.
Guardiola also emphasized that Haaland doesn’t need any extra praise at the moment:
“Right now, he doesn’t need compliments or special treatment. But when his form eventually dips — because it’s impossible to stay at this level forever — we’ll be there to help him.”
