Dembélé demands a significant salary increase at PSG

Since winning the Ballon d’Or — a trophy he claimed on September 22 — Ousmane Dembélé has officially become, in every respect, the best player of 2025.

However, this change in status, according to L’Équipe, has also led to new demands from him: the representatives of the PSG forward reportedly want his individual achievement to be recognized with… financial compensation.

According to the French outlet RMC Sport, the 28-year-old has requested a “substantial increase” in his salary from the club.

It remains to be seen what PSG’s position will be, considering the valid contract of the former Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona player until 2028 — as well as the precedent of Gianluigi Donnarumma, who, for similar reasons, was forced to leave the club and join Manchester City.

Naturally, PSG is expected to reward the French international with an improved salary, though it is unclear whether the club will fully meet the demands of the winger, who was outstanding last season.
