Croatia head coach Zlatko Dalić has highly praised the role and influence of Luka Modrić in the national team, describing him as a rare example of professionalism and dedication.
“He is undoubtedly the engine of this national team. His energy and strength at that age are extraordinary and serve as an example to everyone else.
“It is much easier to work when you have a player like Luka Modrić, who is a model of serious work—a person and a professional footballer who approaches his job with maximum commitment even at this age,” said Dalić.
The AC Milan midfielder is expected to be part of Croatia’s squad for the 2026 World Cup matches.
