The transfer saga of Riccardo Calafiori has come to an end.
The Italian defender, who caught attention with his performances at Euro 2024, has signed for Arsenal.
Calafiori joins the English runner-up from Serie A club Bologna, signing a five-year contract.
The transfer fee is around £38 million, with half going to his former club, Basel.
Manager Mikel Arteta stated that the Italian has a great personality with special skills, which will make the team even stronger in their quest for trophies.
“He made great progress last year at Bologna and for Italy. His development has been truly impressive,” said the Spanish coach.
The 22-year-old will wear the number 33 jersey.
