Real Madrid coach Álvaro Arbeloa said that he is not a magician after his team’s 2–1 victory over Rayo Vallecano.
The Madrid side secured the win thanks to a penalty scored by Kylian Mbappé in the tenth minute of added time.
“I’m not a magician. What I asked from the players is exactly what we are seeing: commitment and mentality. The effort they showed must continue. This is Real Madrid, and we have to do more than other teams to win. I’m sure Valencia will play the match of the year at home, and to win it, we will need to play very well,” Arbeloa said.
He also spoke about the reaction of the fans at the Bernabéu.
“I will always respect the fans. I understand where they are coming from and where we have been. From there, the players have shown a very strong mentality. We must keep working. There is no other solution,” Arbeloa emphasized.
