Striker Ansu Fati, currently on a season-long loan at Brighton & Hove Albion, has impressed with his performances, scoring four goals in 13 appearances in all competitions.
However, reports from Diario Sport suggest that the 21-year-old striker is not keen on a permanent move to Brighton.
Considered one of Barcelona’s brightest prospects since his breakthrough in the 2019-20 season, Fati’s career took a hit due to injuries, prompting his loan move to the Premier League club.
Despite his success at Brighton, there is no clause in the deal that would allow the English club to secure his services permanently, Goal.com reports.
Fati is said to be keen to return to Barcelona, hoping to convince the club to give him another chance.
However, his strong performances in the Premier League could result in a sizeable transfer fee, providing Barcelona with a financial boost amid their current challenges.
