Footballer Trent Alexander-Arnold has not ruled out the possibility that Liverpool will be contenders for the Premier League title.
Alexander-Arnold before the match with Manchester City on Saturday starting at 13:30, mentioned exactly the fight they have had with the latter in recent years, reports Klankosova.tv.
“Having been in three campaigns where we would have won the league if it wasn’t for City – we won one but came close in the other two – you get a feel for what you know you’re capable of doing,” he said. Alexander-Arnold.
“Looking at the dressing room, looking at the players we have, the team, the spirit, the atmosphere around the team, that [challenging for the league] is something we think is achievable.”
“Our aim as a team is to win the league and that is the aim again this season. Last season was not good enough. But the race is something we believe we can achieve, here are our views”.
Liverpool have started well this season, sitting in second place with 27 points from 12 games, just one point behind leaders City.
