Egypt’s footballers in the first round of Group A qualifiers for the World Cup in Cairo beat Djibouti at home with a score of 6:0.
Most deserving in this deep victory was Mohamed Salah, who scored four goals and became Egypt’s top scorer in the history of the qualifiers.
Salah has now registered 15 goals, overtaking Mohamed Aboutrika, who held the record with 14 goals.
The Egyptians justified the title of the big favorite in the 22nd minute, when they took a double advantage 2:0, with both goals scored by the Liverpool player.

The group winners from the African qualifiers will advance to the 2026 World Cup.
