Famously home to George Clooney’s Italian villa, Lake Como is the third largest lake in Italy and a hot spot for tourists and locals alike. Traditionally, Lake Como has been known for being the place for wealthy people and political entities to retreat to from time to time.
Lake Como is home to a number of castles and luxurious accommodations and in case you need to get around the lake, its water transport ferry system is state of the art. It has been an important part of the lake since its induction in 1826. Check out our post on Discovering Bellagio in Lake Como.
