Saudi club Al-Hilal continues its ambitious push to attract top stars from European football and has now put forward an astronomical offer for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, currently playing for Napoli.
According to reports, Al-Hilal has offered Osimhen a three-year contract, with an option to extend for a fourth season, and a salary reaching €160 million net — around €40 million per year — four times more than what he currently earns in Italy. It’s a sum almost impossible to refuse, despite his existing contract with Napoli running until 2026.
Under the current scenario, Osimhen has a €75 million release clause, valid only for clubs outside Italy, making a move to Saudi Arabia theoretically possible.
Al-Hilal’s project also includes other big names from Serie A. Alongside Osimhen, the club’s management is also targeting AC Milan’s left-back Theo Hernández, as part of strengthening the squad led by Simone Inzaghi.
Meanwhile, interest in Osimhen isn’t limited to Saudi Arabia. Manchester United, Juventus, and Galatasaray — where he has impressed with 37 goals in 41 matches last season — are all closely monitoring the latest developments regarding his future, according to Corriere dello Sport.
In a further development, new regulations for FIFA’s upcoming tournament will allow clubs to register two new players between June 27 and July 3, 2025, paving the way for Al-Hilal to include Osimhen and Theo if they progress beyond the current stage of the FIFA Club World Cup in the USA.
Al-Hilal’s offer is serious… and extraordinarily lucrative. If Osimhen accepts, he would not only become one of the highest-paid footballers in the world but also a central figure in Saudi Arabia’s major football project.
