Interview with the famous poet Elisa Mascia

We know the poet Elisa Mascia in today’s interview

The beginning of an introductory overview of the lady: Elisa Mascia, who is she:

R1: Born in a country in central Italy, since I was a child I have expressed my creativity attracted by many activities, tailoring and hand-made creations, acting, writing dedications, reviews, in continuous growth during the studies of the Secondary School and after a long break to devote myself completely to the family I resumed with more energy and continuity to write, write, write poems, short stories, critical analysis, preface- prologue of books, conducting cultural programs in native and bilingual Italian-Spanish first with “En Alas del Fenix” and currently with “In search of true beauty”.

Q2: We see your inclination to write poetry in literary genres in your literary biography, which is full of donations. Has your passion for writing influenced you in wanting it or are there other features in it?

R2: Everything around me is a source of inspiration as well as people to arouse feelings and emotions sometimes with a thought or image they share.
The study of new poetic styles and the contact of different cultures with contemporary poets and writers arouses the curiosity to write poems in an evolutionary style with experiments of sonnets that are also suitable for a Spanish translation without losing content original.
If a ” donations ” is referred to “acknowledgements” I can say that I never write to achieve them as a goal and I think they are assigned to poetic works and not to my person.

Q3: The poet’s message in true poetry is his experience in the talent and expression of all himself, and between this and that.
An intellectual, literary and cultural production is born, especially when he knows poets of different nationalities
How did these experiences influence you?

R3: For me it is essential to express and transmit social, spiritual, cosmic, reflection messages, nature, and as widely as possible open to anyone who can perceive hidden or different from personal intent and all welcome for a cultural and emotional enrichment, mine and readers.
Equally for me it is essential the intellectual exchange between poets and writers, artists, photographers, musicians from other continents because I can only imagine poetry without borders and operate every day so that with the dissemination of art and poetic and literary culture in the world can be reality.
The results are evident because they are increasingly in connection and cultural exchange with the whole world, my motto is: “Poetry is magìa that unites the sensitive souls of the world and knows no barriers because it ranges from self to others creating invisible threads of therapeutic conjunction that elevate the soul for a psychophysical well-being of the individual and of society.”

Q4: What do you think of the cultural poetic movement in the world in the light of this development and the great changes it is experiencing?

R4- Today there are many cultural and artistic movements that promote the creativity of the individual and there are few who make a preventive choice to promote deserving talents, because while it is right to welcome all people who express emotions in poetic verses or who create art on the other hand it is also very important to give priority to promoting the excellence of the sector and regardless of age or other distinction opt for a dissemination of quality art and poetry.
For me the great change is to guide and protect those who are good and those who “produce flour from their own sack” because there are so many imitations, plagiarism, copy and paste removing the name of the original writer even to affix their own, be more attentive to copyright protection.

Q5: Your experience in competitions has added a lot, tell us about it

R5- I don’t like to compete with anyone even to fight to get to the top places or podium, when I happen to participate in some poetic or artistic competition, competitions, in addition to giving strength to the saying that the important thing is to participate certainly understand the choices of the jury and respect while not hiding a little bitterness for some participation that surely leave in me more desire to learn, look forward and grow culturally.

Q6: What are your next important projects and goals and how do you present the messages through poetry?

R6- Projects pinned on the agenda I don’t have them specifically, I take what comes to me suddenly, by chance and without planning I always have my sleeves rolled up and committed to what I like to do. Three more rows of poems are being prepared in individual Poetic Collections to be published.
As for the messages through poetry I always express them in each poetic and literary verse that each reader can receive the same or their own and this is evident from the many reviews that receive my poems.

Q7: Translation in the media plays an important role in getting to know other poets. How did this experience help you?

R7- One cannot remain in one’s own linguistic stillness today, just as poetic and artistic production is necessary, sharing is just as necessary, never keeping the “jewels” only for oneself and for this reason, in the case of poetry written in its own language needs to be translated into other idioms to reach readers of many countries of the world. I always speak of poetic translation with the careful choice of the most appropriate word to avoid losing the original content to the poem itself, and this translation process is delicate and challenging but the results are satisfactory.

Q8: Do you see a difference between contemporary poetry and modernist poetry, or are they the same thing? We would be very happy if we read something beautiful from your poem.

R8- At first glance, contemporary poetry is the result of studies by classical poets and writers as well as a continuous search for the poetic style of the individual that will only in the future be recognizable and classifiable in contemporary or modernist poetry. Here is one of my poems: Mom forever Mom, you have always lived in my heart, the home built by you for years, when you decided to give me life, with the blessing of the Lord. There is not a day when thoughts do not come from you, continuity to your wise advice, imparted in eternal lessons to us, your children, making your presence on Earth long-lasting. If I close my eyes for a moment, deep and serene is the perception, having you in my mind during meditation, your voice resounds, sure, carried by the wind. Mom, the sweetest name to pronounce, every child receives a gift for life, which they later realize slips through their fingers, only the teaching of love remains. Elisa Mascia Translated into English by Irene Doura-Kavadia

Q9: How do you see the message of the media now in the midst of this technological and media momentum that they have contributed?

R9- I am accustomed, and it is in my nature, accept and welcome the technological innovations that allow you to explore new horizons and be involved in experiences that I never thought I would live if I had not had my mind open to 360 º to not remain anchored to habits but be constantly searching of the unknown. Leaving the comfort zone to allow anything to contribute to a cathartic metaphors in me therefore I am always indebted to everything that “revolves around me” in the sense to relate and grow culturally and acquire a moral and civil formation that gives me the opportunity to do everything I do working for brotherhood, Peace, solidarity in the vision of a transcendental spirituality fed daily.

Q10: One last word, an introduction to the magazine Alif Yaa R10- Writing for Alif Yaa Magazine allows me to be consistent with all my thoughts expressed in previous responses because I feel, in addition to duty, also a mission to promote and spread poetry and art in as many languages as possible. I express my wider gratitude to the cultural manager Mohamed Rahal for inviting me to be among the pages of the prestigious Alif Yaa Magazine. Elisa Mascia -Italy
