Bayern has offered Alphonso Davies a new deal and has given him an ultimatum to respond within two weeks.
In response, Davies’ agent, Nedah Househ, has criticized this ultimatum from the German club as unfair.
“It’s unfair to receive an ultimatum from Bayern. We will decide how to proceed at the end of the season when there is more clarity about the project and the situation,” Househ said.
“It’s unfair that Alphonso is being attacked after we were close to a deal a year ago, then all club executives were replaced. We heard nothing for seven months. Even though I tried to contact the club myself during this time and nothing happened…,” Househ told BILD.
“Now we’re being given an ultimatum and expected to react within two weeks because the club is under pressure and it took them a long time to reposition themselves in management? This is not really fair, in my opinion.”
“It’s a very important contract in Alphonso’s career, and we have to make the decision without knowing who will be the coach next season… or what the team will look like. We think it’s unfair to respond to the ultimatum.”
Davies has a valid contract with the Bavarians until the summer of 2025 and so far has not accepted a new deal.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid is on the horizon and is waiting to make a move for the Canadian.
