THE PASSION OF POETRY – MEMBER ART PIX PROMPT GRAND FINALE COMPETITION

Literature has the power to transcend boundaries, unite cultures, and inspire change.
The Passion of Poetry Community founded by Annette Tarpley is a safe poets haven catering  more than 115,000 members globally, held a prestigeous event, directed by Antonio Ma-at  called Member Art Pix Prompt ( MAPP ) wherein poets write a poem refercing a certain painting, it begun on sept. 2023 and on every friday an MAPP event is held. Almost 1,000 entries has been gathered and curated to 20 finalist .

1.) ANGELA KOSTA – ITALY

Angela Kosta, hailing from Albania and residing in Italy since 1995, is a versatile literary figure known for her prowess as a translator, essayist, journalist, and editor. With 11 published books spanning novels, poetry, and fairy tales in Albanian, Italian, and English, Angela has left her mark on the global literary scene. Her works have been featured in numerous literary magazines and newspapers across a multitude of countries, including Albania, Italy, the USA, China, Russia, and many others. Angela’s contributions extend beyond writing, as she also serves as an Ambassador of Culture and Peace in several countries, including Bangladesh, Lebanon, and Egypt. With her writings translated and published in 28 foreign languages and countries, Angela Kosta continues to captivate readers worldwide with her diverse literary creations.

2.) YANNIS FIKAS – GREECE

Yannis Fikas, a distinguished judge revered for his contributions to academia and literature. As the esteemed founder and president of the Academy of Farsala and Director of Humanities at BCA College Athens, Yannis has demonstrated unparalleled dedication to education and the arts. His leadership and expertise have shaped countless minds and enriched the literary landscape. With his vast knowledge and passion for literature, Yannis brings invaluable insight to the judging panel, ensuring a fair and enlightening evaluation process.

3.) HELEN SARITA – PHILIPPINES

Helen Sarita, a prominent judge renowned for her contributions to the literary world. As the founder of Filipino Poets in Blossoms and President of Blossoms Journal International Magazine, Helen’s impact on poetry is profound. Recognized as an Asia Icon Golden Awardee in 2023 for her exceptional talent, Helen brings unparalleled expertise to the judging panel. Her passion for poetry and commitment to fostering emerging voices make her a valuable asset to the competition.

4.) JOAN JOSEP BARCELO – SPAIN

Joan Josep Barceló i Bauçà, a versatile artist-poet from Palma de Mallorca, Spain. With a background in literature and science from prestigious universities worldwide, Joan has made significant contributions to culture through poetry, literature, and the arts. His surrealistic and abstract style, infused with dreamlike and mythical elements, has garnered international acclaim and numerous awards. Joan’s poetry, translated into multiple languages, explores themes of desire, spirituality, and the human condition. Beyond literature, he intertwines visual art and performance, offering new perspectives on artistic expression.

5.) EVA LIANOU PETROPOULOU – GREECE

Eva Liano Petropoulou, a distinguished judge hailing from Greece. With a plethora of awards adorning her name, Eva is celebrated as a prolific children’s literacy author. Notably, she holds the prestigious position of President at Greece MMEX and stands as a candidate for the esteemed Nobel Prize. Her remarkable contributions to literature inspire readers worldwide, and her commitment to fostering literacy among children is commendable. Eva eagerly awaits the opportunity to review submissions and extend her expertise to this esteemed competition.

6.) ALEXANDER KABISHEV – RUSSIA

Alexander Kabishev, a distinguished judge and Chief Editor of Demo GOG, representing the vibrant literary landscape of Russia. With a wealth of experience in the literary world, Alexander stands as a beacon of creativity and innovation. As the leader of the Hyperpoem Anthology Project, he has brought together over 1600 international poets, fostering a global community of literary excellence. His discerning eye and unwavering dedication to the craft make him a valued judge, ensuring a fair and insightful evaluation process. With his vast knowledge and passion for poetry, Alexander Kabishev enriches the judging panel and elevates the literary conversation to new heights.

7.) ODY MUNSON – HONG KONG

Ody Munson, a distinguished judge celebrated for her diverse accomplishments in literature and public speaking. As an accomplished author, multi-awarded Toastmaster, and TEDx speaker, Ody has captivated audiences with her words and ideas. Additionally, she serves as the President of Horizon International, where her leadership has fostered growth and innovation. Ody’s passion for storytelling and public engagement makes her a valuable asset to the judging panel, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of submissions.

8.)  ANTONIO MA-AT – PHILIPPINES

Introducing Antonio Ma-at, an esteemed judge and director of the writing competition event, POP MAPP. Acknowledged as one of the top 10 contemporary authors of the world by Fox Interview, and honored as the author of the year 2023 by the Asia Pacific Luminaire Award, Antonio Ma-at is a multifaceted talent whose contributions to literature and the arts are celebrated globally. He has cultivated a thriving community of poets and writers, fostering creativity and collaboration. In addition to his administrative roles, Antonio is a prolific author, poet, and artist, whose work resonates with readers around the world. With his vast experience and passion for the written word, Antonio Ma-at brings invaluable insight to the judging panel, ensuring a rigorous and enlightening evaluation process.

9.) GABRIELLA WHITE – UNITED STATES

Gabriella White, a distinguished judge representing the rich literary tradition of the United States. As a renowned novelist, poet, lecturer, and senior journalist, Gabriella brings a wealth of expertise and insight to the judging panel. Her profound understanding of storytelling and poetic expression has earned her acclaim both nationally and internationally. Additionally, Gabriella is the visionary founder of the New Leaf Writing Community, a platform dedicated to nurturing emerging writers and fostering a vibrant literary community. With her passion for literature and commitment to empowering fellow writers, Gabriella White is a valuable asset to the judging panel, ensuring a fair and enriching evaluation process.

10.) Rata BHATTACHARJEE – INDIA

Introducing Ratan Bhattacharjee Ph.D, an esteemed member of our panel of judges. Ratan Bhattacharjee holds a Ph.D. and serves as Affiliate Faculty in English at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond. With a wealth of experience, he has served as an Associate Professor and Chair at the Post Graduate Department of English, Dum Dum Motijheel College. Ratan Bhattacharjee is also the Founder President of the Kolkata Indo-American Society (KIAS). He is a prolific Trilingual Columnist, Poet, and accomplished author, having published numerous works on various subjects. With a distinguished career, including invitations as International Visiting Faculty at Fairleigh Dickinson University, USA, Ratan Bhattacharjee brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our judging panel. We are honored to have him as part of our esteemed team of judges.
