POEM BY MOHAMED RAHAL

YOU BETRAYED

You betrayed, you betrayed
And in the heart, you are not what you were

You were my love
You were my darling, you were in my heart
Oh, how you stayed up all nights beside me
My ten-year-old companion, Henty
You sold me and my money increased
My heart was deceived in a minute, my girl

You sold me and Faya
I didn’t think there would be millions in hearts
You kissed me dryly, you thought my love had advantages
Your curse is the cause of your torment
We entrust my Lord to accept the answer to our prayers
You are not in my daughter’s family

You lie down
I think you have a lot of love, free woman
Your shame will be revealed, and your honor will increase
Go in the jar of your character, Henty
Hurt thoughts are impossible to heal
And your head, little girl, is filled with shame

And your head, baby girl
What a game you played during your time of heedlessness
Sit in the shepherd’s resting place
You think about my dear and Dalali, you betrayed me
You can see a back and a kiss
A man comes to you in my son’s marriage.
