The image in question was commented on at length, but it seems that the famous singer wants to downplay the importance of the viral photos with the supermodel.
The singer said during a recent interview that the pictures taken at the Academy Film Museum last month were “no big deal.”
“It’s nothing,” Gomez told Vulture while promoting her upcoming Apple TV+ documentary, “My Mind and Me.”
The Only Murders in the Building star, 30, and the model, 25, ‘broke’ the web on October 15 when they were photographed hugging at an event in Los Angeles.
Even Tyrell Hampton, who snapped the photos, seemed surprised by the duo’s friendly display.
The surprise meeting came just weeks after Hailey said on the Call Her Daddy podcast that there was “no drama” between her and Gomez, who dated Justin, 28, from 2010 to 2018.
“It’s all about respect,” she said, confirming that she and the former Disney Channel star had spoken to each other.
