Carl Weathers, the actor who portrayed the boxer Apollo Creed in the “Rocky” films, has passed away at the age of 76. Weathers, a former American football player, gained fame through films alongside Sylvester Stallone. Starting from 1976 in the “Rocky” saga, he played the role of a heavyweight boxing champion, arrogant and talented in the ring, initially a rival, and later a friend of Balboa.
Weathers became an action star in the late 1970s and early 1980s. In addition to the first four “Rocky” films, he also appeared in movies such as “Predator” and “Gilmore Girls.”
